Lok Adalat settles 93 cases in Samba

SAMBA, Mar 6: A Special Lok Adalat was held today at District Court Complex, Samba under Chairmanship of M.A. Chowdhary, Chairman DLSA (Principal District & Sessions Judge), Samba for taking up cases for settlement. Three Benches were constituted for the said purpose and a total 104 cases were taken up by the Benches out of which 93 cases were disposed of amicably and an amount of Rs. 1,93,900 was settled.
Bench no. 1 was constituted for taking up MACT & Bank cases, Pre-litigation matters and all cases referred by District Judge which was headed by M.A. Chowdhary (Pr. District & Sessions Judge), Samba and assisted by Swati Gupta, Secretary, DLSA, Samba.
Second bench was constituted of Vinod Kumar (Chief Judicial Magistrate), Samba and assisted by Madhu Khajuria (Addl. Spl. Mobile Magistrate), Samba for taking up of, Cr. Compoundable cases, Matrimonial Cases, NI Act and Petty offences and all other Civil Suits.
Third bench was constituted of Pooja Raina (Munsiff), Samba and Rashi Verma (Addl. Munsiff), Samba for taking up of Matrimonial Cases, Cr. Compoundable cases, NI Act and Petty offences and all other Civil Suits.
The representatives of Banks, Insurance Companies, Advocates and Litigants participated in the Lok Adalat.
