JKTJAC holds meeting, raises issues of teachers

UDHAMPUR, Mar 7: A monthly meeting of Jammu Kashmir Teachers' Joint Action Committee (JKTJAC) held here today under the chairmanship of UT president Vinod Sharma and District President Lekh Raj Parihar. The meeting was attended by JKTJAC representatives from all the eleven zones of the district Udhampur. While speaking on the occasion Vinod Sharma raised the burning issues of the teachers which include inclusion of 5 Years ReT period for seniority benefits, regularisation of ReTs who have completed their 5 years ReT period and waiting for the same for a long time as a some cases are pending for last more than two years, appointment of ZEOs in headless zones so that teachers may not suffer, conversion of left out RRETs to Teachers Grade II/III as they are suffering due to non-release of their salaries, DPC of teachers to masters as same has not been done since 2014 and sanction of master grade posts in SSA upgraded schools besides deamading a transfer policy for teachers appointed under ReT scheme.
While speaking on the occasion Lekh Raj Parihar requested CEO Udhampur to make provision for release of pending MDM dues of Zones Ghordi and Udhampur which the teachers have managed from their own pockets.
Meanwhile, on the occasion Shamsher Singh was unanimously nominated as chief Finance Secretary of JKTJAC Udhampur who, while speaking, assured to work with dedication to raise the burning issues of the teachers.
