Col Mahan Singh kick-starts black topping of Shara- Hutt Mashka road

KATHUA, Mar 7: Col (Retd.) Mahan Singh, DDC Chairman of Kathua district today reiterated his commitment to ensure overall development of district Kathua with special emphasis on rural and far-off areas. The DDC Chairman was speaking after starting work on black topping of Shara- Hutt Mashka road on the 1st stretch of 15 km out of total 17 km long PMGSY roads. The senior BJP leader said that this road connectivity is extremely important for the area and there has been continuous public demand to build this road, however, the work was affected due to Corona pandemic and shortage of minor minerals.
Speaking on the occasion, Col Mahan Singh said that the work was continued in spite of numerous hindrances and finally the much awaited black topping have become reality today.
The DDC Chairman assured that besides development projects, various welfare schemes meant for the socio-economic upliftment of the poor and needy will be taken at the door steps of the genuinely deserving people in the constituency. He said that good governance with a pragmatic approach at the doorsteps of the people is top priority of BJP.
The residents of the area appreciated the efforts of Col Mahan Singh and expressed their gratitude to him for fulfilling the promise regarding construction of aforesaid road and taking up their pending demands time to time, on priority.
Among those who were present included Rann Singh, Capt Harnam Singh, Yubkaran Singh, Surinder Singh, Sarpanch Hut, Madhu Bala Sarpanch Draman and residents of Shara, Sloo, Draman and Hutt along with PMGSY AEE, JE and contractor.
