KATHUA, Mar 7: District Kathua wushu championship concludes today. The championship was organised by the District Kathua Wushu Association under the agesis of Wushu Association of j&k. Dr. Shailender Mishra SSP Kathua was the chief guest on the occassion. He distributed prizes to the winners on the occassion. Around 200 players from different clubs and Schools participated in the championship. The championship was organised at J K Public school kathua. Mr.Dhiraj Gupta, Mr Sankalp kamal Mr.Anil Pathania (principal )of the school were the guest of honour on the occassion.
Sajad Hussain, president of the District Kathua wushu Association presented welcome address, he briefed the achievements of the wushu sports in the state and Kathua and he requested the authorities for the establishment of the indoor stadium at kathua so that the athletes of the kathua district can exhibit their best at the International podium
Dr.Shailender Mishra, IPS congratulated District Kathua wushu Association for the initiative for the prominence of wushu sports in Kathua and also congratulated wushu Association of j&k for bringing the UT J&K in the World Map. Sachin (General secretary) presented the vote of thanks at the end, he thanked Dr.Shalender Mishra ,IPS for accepting the invitation and be the part of the event. He thanked school management and media for the support. He thanked Kuldeep Handoo (Dronacharya Awardee) for providing platform for the athletes of the Kathua district and assured that soon Kathua will be on the top of the world map.
