7 vehicles seized for illegal mining, transportation of construction material

SAMBA, Mar 7: In continuation to its drive against illegal mining and illegal transportation of construction material, Samba Police seized 7 vehicles including 1 Dumper & 6 Tractor Trollies which were being used for illegal mining and transportation of the construction material. Acting on reliable information regarding illegal mining/transportation of construction material (sand) from Basantar River-Bed, Samba, a Police team of PS Samba rushed to the spot and seized 5 vehicles including a Dumper having Regd. No. JK21E-7716 and 4 Tractor-Trolleys bearing registration nos. JK21C-5867, JK21D-3997 and 2 Tractor-Trolleys were found without registration No were also seized which were engaged into illegal mining/transportation of construction material from said area. Similarly, Police team of PS Ramgarh while performing patrolling duty in its jurisdiction area, intercepted two Tractor-Trollies one having Regd no JK21B-0067 and other without Regd No for illegal transportation of construction material (Sand).
