JAMMU, Mar 23: The Batwal Youth Development Committee organised its special meet at Maira Mandleek today where the Batwal youths paid homage to freedom fighters Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, Rajguru and said their supreme sacrifices will remain an inspiration for every generation of the country. It was on March 23, 1931 that Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru were executed by the British Government. The trio had killed a British Officer J.P. Saunders to avenge the death of Lala Lajpat Rai, said Mahesh Bhardwaj while speaking on the occasion. Salutations to the revolutionaries of Independence, Amar Shaheed Veer Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru, said the Batwal youths adding that the sacrifice of these great sons of 'Maa Bharti' will remain an inspiration for every generation of the country. Attendees included Param Jyoti, Sanjay Kumar, Vikas Kumar, Anil Kumar, Deepak Kumar, Gourav Kumar, Suresh Kumar and others. |
