Jammu, Mar 23: As Robroo, the most engaging theatre group in New Delhi has elaborated its outreach programmes far and wide, it has simultaneously expanded its visionary dimensions by inculcation variegated hues into it related to dance, drama , music and languages also . Under the dynamic leadership of Sameer Khan , the founder director of the NGO , Robroo has made indepth inroads into many successful ventures in producing some of the finest and the most telling dramaturgy. Speaking , the founding director Sameer Khan said that through this initiative , Robroo has been able to connect with the large masses and bring people of diversified art and culture under the one umbrella . To date now, it has organized many theatre festivals across the nation with numero uno being. Vijay Suri National Theatre Festival, Jammu theatre festival, Robroo theatre festival et.al and recently two days Young Director's short play Festival to give space to young directors. Robroo Theatre Society strives to push its literary boundaries, be it through theatre, prose or poetry. Its focus lies in celebrating stories and literature using theatre as a medium. The purpose of the activities, be it plays, poetry recitation, an event or a theatre festival, is to showcase the rich cultural heritage to the theatre lovers. During the tough period of pandemic when everyone was at home, team Robroo was continuous working as a Covid warriors in its own way through live messages and recorded video messages for awareness Across the country, Robroo has participated in many theatre festivals with its iconic productions like ‘Heer Ranjha’-a musical dance drama, ‘Habba Khatoon’-nightingale of Kashmir (a musical play).
