KISHTWAR, Mar 26: Psychological Counseling Cell, Government Degree College, Kishtwar today organized a one day national seminar on "Mental Health '' under the aegis of Manodarpan initiative of Government of India.
Principal, Prof. Anirduh Sharma was the Chief Guest and Dr. Arif Rasheed was the special guest of the event.
In his inaugural address, Prof. Anirudh threw light on mental health and said that looking after mental health can preserve a person's ability to enjoy life. Doing this involves reaching a balance between life activities, responsibilities, and efforts to achieve psychological resilience, he added.
Dr. Arif Rasheed discussed the issues related to mental health and interacted with students regarding various issues of mental wellbeing. Anil Kumar, Yoga expert shared the importance of Yoga in mental well being and demonstrated some asanas for improving mental health.
Earlier, Prof. M.M Matoo delivered the welcome address. Prof. Sonika Sen, Organising Secretary of the event conducted the proceedings and Prof. Faisal Mushtaq presented the vote of thanks. |
