Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 27: Convenor, United Democratic Alliance (UDA), J&K, Rajiv Mahajan asked Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation to check how Yoga Centre and parking place in the Karan Market change into business hub.
In a statement issued today, Rajiv Mahajan said that once there existed a parking place for about 100 vehicles at basement of Karan Market, Jammu which is sold out by Dharamarth Trust to some influential businessman of the city who is running his business from there, depriving the general public of parking facility, those who come to the area for marketing or for some other purpose.
Mahajan further said that 'Yoga Centre' in the Karan Market is also being converted into a hotel Vardman Residency in violation of norms.
Rajiv asked Jammu Municipal Commissioner, Avny Lavasa to issue clarification in this regard at the earliest otherwise they will hold a strong protest against JMC.
Mahajan also asked Commissioner JMC to come up with a public statement on illegal constructions and change of status of public utility places into Commercial complexes to clear the uncertainty brewing up in the minds of general public.
He also demanded an inquiry against Dharmarth Trust for changing the status of the land and property in violation of norms, thus depriving the general public of their legitimate rights.
