JAMMU, Apr 7: A plantation drive got underway today at Khel Gaon Nagrota, Jammu by Dr Saleem-Ur-Rehman, Director General Youth Services & Sports (DYSS), J&K UT.
In the 1st phase, the officials of Zone Jammu were participated in the plantation programme under the supervision of Jasbir Singh Bhau, Zonal Physical Education Officer, Jammu and overall guidance of Sukhdev Raj Sharma, District Youth Services and Sports Officer Jammu.
The Department of Youth Services & Sports started this programme in a phased manner. About 10000 plants shall be planted throughout the year by the department of Youth Services & Sports, District Jammu.
The programme is organized under the Chairmanship of Dr. Saleem-Ur-Rehman, Director General, Youth Services & Sports J&K UT. In the inaugural plantation programme, DG YSS was also present and planted some plants at newly constructed Khel Gaon Nagrota, Jammu, in which the officers/officials of the department were also present during the programme.
