GDC Billawar celebrates World Health Day

Billawar, Apr 7: GDC Billawar celebrated “World Health Day” in which series of activities were conducted on 6th and 7th April 2021. In order to celebrate World Health Day, College organized various activities namely, Lecture by Health team of Sub-District Hospital, Billawar, Essay Writing, Poster making and Quiz Competition. All these activities were conducted on the theme “Building a fairer, healthier world for everyone” and focuses on the need to stay safe and positive in the pandemic times.
In Lecture hour session, Dr. Ganga Ram Kundal, Dr. Surinder Kumar, Dr. Neelam Kiranjit Kour, Dr. Nidhi Verma focused on various health issues especially, COVID19 pandemic. In Essay writing, Shuvam Mankotia has secured first position, Romani Panoch has secured second position and Sonika Devi has secured third position. In Poster-making, Sparshika Sharma has secured first, Kushvinder Kumar and Asrar Malik jointly secured second position and Jhangir Akhtar and Shehnaz Sheikh got third positions. In Quiz competition, Jhanvi Pathania and Vinay Verma secured first, Sparshika and Jhangir secured second and Romit Bhadwal and Asrar Ahmed got third position, respectively.
The different events were adjudged by Dr. Rajni Kumari, Prof. Anil Verma, Dr. Pinkey and Prof. Mandeep Kour. All the events were organised by Cultural Committee of the college.The whole programme was organised under the overall supervision and guidance of college Principal, Prof. Anita Jamwal. On the occasion, she appreciated great efforts of Cultural Committee and students for the successful celebration of World Health Day, 2021.
