Realize Rs. 10400 from erring traders

RAMBAN, Apr 7: Department of Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs conducted a market checking cum wearing face masks drive in Banihal Bazar by a joint team of enforcement departments.The drive was conducted on the directions of Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Banihal, Zaheer Abbas. The team headed by Tehsil Supply Officer, Banihal, Gian Chand Khajuria along with police officials checked more than 50 establishments like mutton, chicken, milk and kiryana shops besides vegetable and fruit vendors and booked various erring traders and realized a fine of Rs. 10400 from them for not displaying of rate list, overcharging and unauthorized installation of hoardings.
TSO instructed shopkeepers to display rate lists and sell commodities on the rates fixed by Department/Associations. Moreover, different business establishments were also made aware about different rules and regulation of the department in vogue.
Meanwhile, wearing face mask drive was also conducted and realized fine from persons roaming without wearing face masks in public places. The enforcement teams warned shops and business establishments to adhere to the COVID-19 SOPs and other preventative measures issued by the Government to prevent the spread of Covid-19 infections.
