Mother, daughter perish in mysterious fire incident

JAMMU, Apr 7: In a tragic incident, a mother, daughter duo was perished in mysterious fire incident in remote Tagood village of Tehsil Mughal Maidan in Chatroo Sub Division of Kishtwar District during last night.
As per the details available with with Early Times, the mysterious fire broke out in the house of Poshi Devi wife of Late Jameet Ram at around 12 midnight in which Poshi Devi and her daughter Nettu Balla D/o Balwan Singh got perished and the dead bodies of both mother and daughter were later recovered from the debris of the ill fated house.
Talking to Early Times, a senior official in the administration informed that the deceased lady was a divorce, separated from her husband over two decades ago, adding that the deceased lady was living on parental property since last over two decades.
"She had two daughters, one was married while the unmarried daughter was living with her, unfortunately both died" said that official.
The official informed that the fire incident reported at mid night while the electricity went off in the area at 10 PM with heavy rains going on in the area.
"The deceased lady also had some property dispute with his brother. Police suspect it as mysterious case and is probing it on all possible angles including on the lines of suspected murder" the official maintained.
As soon as the incident reported, senior officials of police and administration immediately rush to the spot and shifted the dead bodies to hospital where the autopsy of both the deceased women was conducted.
Police sources told the Early Times that inquest proceeding u/s 174 Cr. PC has been initiated added that it is premature to say anything at this stage of investigation.
In a question on reports of possible murder of the two women, the officials said that if during investigation anything like that (murder) evidences could be found, the inquest proceedings will be converted into the FIR under relevant sections of the law.
