Bani, Apr 7: An alleged goon in Bani area of Kathua district is ostensibly using different names in different states to operate and has reportedly threatened to kill his own brother.
According to the details available with Early Times the matter was brought into the notice of the Station House Officer police Station Bani but no FIR has been lodged in this connection till date.
A complainant Badar Din But son of Rustam Butt, of Bani has lodged a complaint against his real brother Kher Din Butt and another revenue official Naib Tehsildar posted at Bani. The complainant in his complaint has claimed that his brother is using different names in different states.
“My brother has named himself as Vijay Kumar son of Nanak Chand in Punjab, he is using a Punjab model vehicle bearing registration number PB10BV-8787 registered on the name of Vijay Kumar in Punjab".
An audio recording of Kher Din Butt and Naib Tehsildar was leaked in which Kher Din is openly claiming that he has come to kill his brother Badar Din Butt whereas the Naib Tehsildar is also heard saying that he will also pay Rs 50,000/ to him if he kills Badar Din Butt.
Badar Din said, "When this recording was sent to Jahangir Ahmed, my nephew, on 14th of March, I lodged a complaint against both of them at the concerned police station".
Badar Din said, "I have lodged complaints in the Grievance Cell of the Lieutenant Governor, before IGP Jammu and SSP Kathua. The IGP directed concerned police station to look into the matter on 18th of March, but police have not lodged FIR since then".
The Grievance Cell of LG forwarded the complaint to District Magistrate Kathua, who further forwarded it to SDM Bani for investigation and initiating action against Naib Tehsildar, but no investigation has been started till now, he further informed.
“Is ka kam karo 50 hazar main bhi donga, mai is ka kam krne ke liye hi yahan aya huwa hu" the goon and Naib Tehsildar are heard saying in an audio clip.
Badar Din Butt said, "Police are not lodging FIR against culprits and the culprits are forcing and threatening me to come forward for compromise".
He said, "The SHO of the concerned police has thrown directions of IGP to wind".
Butt urged Inspector General of Police Jammu to direct concerned Police officials to lodge a FIR without any further delay as "justice delayed is justice denied".
Despite repeated attempts SDPO Bani didn't pick up the phone.
