JAMMU, Apr 8: Top three sanitation teams led by Sanitation Officers and Sanitary Inspectors of Ward Nos 19, 61 and 56 were felicitated for rendering their best services in the field of Solid Waste Management and Sanitation in their allotted wards for the year 2020-2021. Mayor Chander Mohan Gupta, Jammu Municipal Corporation, and Avny Lavasa, Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation in presence of Narindar Singh, Chairman, Public Health & Sanitation Standing Committee felicitated the teams in an event organized in the Council Hall of Jammu Municipal Corporation. Mayor while speaking on the occasion stated that JMC is creating awareness among the common masses for proper disposal of the garbage at the designated dustbins placed for the same. The Commissioner, JMC also stated on the occasion that to aware citizens with respect to solid waste management and sanitation and make them the part of the same, JMC is organizing campaigns so that Jammu city can become completely a clean and green city and she added that JMC today conducted an event wherein top three teams were felicitated for putting their best efforts with regard to revenue generation as compared to previous year to morale the boost of the field works, as the field workers are the backbone of any institute. The others who were present included Joint Commissioner(A) Sudhir Bali, Secretary JMC/Nodal Officer SBM- Tinna Mahajan, Health Officer-Dr. Sanjogita Sudan, Deputy Director Planning- Sandeep Kumar Sharma. The event was adjudged by Deputy Director Planning-Sandeep Kumar Sharma. The event was conducted by the IEC partners (AIILSG) of the JMC and ended with a vote of thanks by the Secretary JMC. |
