SCON organizes quiz competition to mark World Health Day

JAMMU, Apr 8: Stephens College of Nursing (SCON), under the aegis of Dr Aparna Educational Trust, observed World Health Day with great zeal & enthusiasm. The Community Health Nursing Deptt of SCON conducted a quiz competition on the occasion of World Health Day. Manoj Kotru (Administrator SCON) & Kheema Peshin (Vice Principal SCON) were the chief guests of the event.
Manoj Kotru congratulated the entire Community Deptt. for conducting conducting such an enthralling & stupendous quiz competition. The theme of World Health Day 2021 is Building a fairer, healthier world.
It commenced with the welcome speech delivered by Ritu Gupta (Associate Professor & Activity Incharge) which was followed by the introductory speech of the world health day. It was delivered by the Rakhee Sharma & Arsalana Malik of B.Sc (N) 4th year. Then Kheema Peshin (Vice Principal SCON) expressed her views on world health day & inspired everyone to maintain good health & to cognizant the general mass to adopt proper hygiene & follow SOP’s of COVID 19.
The Quiz competition was conducted in 8 rounds. The instructions were told by Nancy Thakur (Asst. Professor SCON) & questions were asked by P. Vazumuni (Asst Professor) and Satvinder Singh (Nursing Tutor). The rounds were in the form of MCQs Puzzle making round, guess the medical term by recognizing the picture and joining the words, Critical Thinking and Current Affairs. There were five students in each team comprises of B.Sc. Nursing 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th year & Post Basic Nursing 1st year. Winning team and Runners team were given special prizes.
