The released book was the third book of short stories by Dubey who has by now penned down six books in all which include full length stage plays, radio plays and a poetry book. The highlight of the function was the recital of one of the short stories from the released book by the author himself.
Ashutosh Prashar presented a paper on critical appreciation of the stories in the collection which exhibited the scholarly approach and deep understanding of the Paper writer.
Khalid Hussain, himself a prominent Punjabi short story writer of the subcontinent, while speaking on the occasion appreciated Dubey for his unique style of writing, which has enriched the corpus of Dogri literature immensely.
Prof Lalit Magotra, President Dogri Sanstha, who was presiding over the function, observed that Jagdeep Dubey has evolved his peculiar and distinct style of storytelling over the span of the last few years. The strength of his stories is the usage of poetic imagination and expression in enhancing the intensity of the stories. This sets him apart from all other short story writers in Dogri.
