GDC Kalakote organizes door-to-door COVID-19 awareness campaign

KALAKOTE, Apr 8: NSS Unit in collaboration to the Literary Club, GDC Kalakote organized a door-to-door Campaign to spread awareness about COVID-19 pandemic and to celebrate the World Health day.
The programme was one among the series of events being organized to commemorate “AZADI KA AMRUT MAHOTSAV”.
Keeping in view the ongoing pandemic across the world, GDC Kalakote organized this door-to-door campaign to aware people about the importance of taking precautions and following all the SOPs pertaining to this pandemic.
The NSS volunteers along with the committee members visited considerable number of houses in the vicinity to educate people about the COVID-19 pandemic and all the precautions that should be taken to avoid getting infected.
Also, Principal GDC Kalakote, Dr Romesh Kumar Gupta, talked at length about the seriousness of this pandemic and the current situation.
He advised to protect yourself and others around you by knowing the facts and taking appropriate precautions. Follow advice provided by your local health authority. He advised the students and the faculty members to take all the necessary measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Dr Gupta also asked the students to aware others in their surrounding and make sure that they also follow these SOPs.
The campaign was made successful by the efforts of the faculty members which included Prof Anayat-ullah-Khan, Prof Sanjogita Kumari, Prof Afa-Dul-Mujiaba, Prof Marve Sofi, Dr Pinkey Rakwal, Dr Shezad Ahmed, Prof Sheetal and the Non-teaching staff including Parvaiz Rashid, Davinder Singh, Parveen Kumari and Vishvajeet Dutta.
