General Orientation concluded at GCOE

Jammu, Apr 8: Govt. College of Education, Jammu concluded a three days long Orientation Programme for the new upcoming students today on 8th of April, 2021. The programme was organized to apprise the freshers with the basic knowledge and understanding of the functioning of the college and its different activities.
Dr. Kulwinder Kour, Principal GCOE welcomed all the students and in her address, she acquainted the students with different activities that are being planned for the upcoming session. She also briefed on the initiatives that the college is going to take in the near future and how the students are going to get benefitted out of it.
The program included detailed deliberations on the curriculum aspects of the two-year B.Ed. programme by Prof. K.K. Mangotra, Prof. Rubina Yasmeen and Prof. Shapia Shameem. It also included deliberations on practicum by Prof. C.L. Shivgotra, Prof. Neeraj Verma and Prof. Sarita Dogra; on examination by Dr. Jyoti Parihar, Prof. Seema Kumari and Prof. Anuradha; on overall discipline and faculties available by Dr. Sushma Bala, Prof. Shalini Rana and Prof. Vinay Lata; on co-curricular activities like NSS held in college by Dr. Shubhra Jamwal and an overview about the college library by Dr. Anuradha Seth.
Others present on the occasion included Prof. Satish Sharma, Prof. Deep Bangotra, and other staff members.
The programme was successfully coordinated by the NSS volunteers of GCOE.
