| Rajouri District Development Council office starts function | | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Apr 8: District Development Council Office Rajouri started function in presence of the Council Chairman, Naseem Liyaqat Chowdhury; Vice Chairma, Shabir Khan and District Development Commissioner, Rajesh K Shavan.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Sher Singh; BDC Chairpersons and Members of the District Development Council were also present at the inaugural ceremony.
District Development Commissioner hoped that the Council under the supervision of the Chairman, Vice Chairman and efforts of members will make all possible efforts to take the developmental profile of the district to new heights and provide maximum relief to the common masses by redressing their genuine concerns in a time bound manner.
He also assured full support from the District Administration in this regard.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC Chairman Adv. Naseem Liaquat Chowdhury said that the new office will enable the council to ensure supervision of various welfare schemes and programmes being implemented by different departments in the district. He said the office shall function on all working days for the public and the mebers can also hold meetings and discuss issues of their respective areas.
The DDC Chairman also urged the public to bring the issues in notice of the District Development Council so that the same can be redressed in a time bound manner.
Vice Chairperson DDC, Shabir Khan said that the District Development Council Rajouri is committed to ensure the effective implementation of all the Government schemes and programmes for the welfare of the general public and sought the active cooperation of the common masses in policy making process.
