Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 9: Congratulating the security forces for neutralizing seven terrorists including the Ansar Gazwat-ul-Hind chief Imtiyaz Shah in two encounters in south Kashmir, senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta said that the trail of elimination of dreaded terrorists is the proof that terrorism in J&K is on its last leg and soon the UT will become terror-free.
In a statement issued here on Friday, the BJP leader said that soon after Prime Minister Narendra Modi took over the reins of the country in 2014, the scenario with respect to combating terrorism changed in the UT with security forces getting a free hand to tackle insurgents and surgical strikes becoming a new norm.
He said that since 2014, the count of terrorists killed in combing operations is in hundreds which is testimony to the fact that soon J&K will be back on track with peaceful dwelling becoming a new normal and tourists thronging the paradise as never before. He said that though the path was difficult and still there are hurdles which the government is trying to cross gradually to attain ultimate peace in the UT but the intent of BJP government is pure and that is the most significant aspect in achieving the goal of restoring pristine glory of J&K with peace as top priority.
Pertinent to mention that five terrorists were killed in Shopian encounter that started yesterday afternoon and two terrorists among terror outfit Ansar Gazwat-ul-Hind Chief Imtiyaz Shah have been killed at Nowbugh Tral in Awantipora wiping out terror group Ansar Gazwat Ul Hind from Kashmir.
Kavinder Gupta said that though the price paid by the people of J&K to combat terrorism is heavy and is difficult to forget but what is inspiring is the fact that no more harm will be done to the people of this land which is famous for camaraderie, brotherhood and peaceful dwelling of almost all the religions being practiced in the country. He also said that the Government of India under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is augmenting every sector in J&K to bring development to an optimal level with special emphasis on tourism promotion which is the mainstay of the UT of J&K.
