Jammu, Jun 10: Live For Others-Being Helpful Foundation (NGO) launched a second dry ration distribution drive among the needy families in outskirts of Jammu city. LFO-BH foundation is working from the very first day of the pandemic to help the needy families in Jammu, Udhampur & Ramnagar District. The main aim of the organisation is to help the daily bases workers because as a result of the lockdowns, many people lost their jobs, including migrant, contract, and domestic workers, and daily wage laborers. Migrant workers were not able to travel back home to be with their families and were stuck with no work, no proper place to live and no food to eat. So, in the view of this hard time, and in continuance the selfless endeavour to serve the needy and the underprivileged sections of the society, volunteers of 'LFO-BH FOUNDATION' have geared up and launched another drive to distributing dry ration kits to the needy ones who have been jobless due to the pandemic. LFO-BH FOUNDATION decided to overcome this pandemic by serving the most vulnerable among us. Till now around 8000+ food packets were provided to the needy and COVID+ve families and around 500+ dry ration kits were provided to needy ones and needy families and the initiative is still going on. Each ration kit included necessary food items like rice, flour soyabean, potato, chilli, salt, turmeric, tea, oil etc as these food items are the most important items required on daily basics. The area covered during the drive were Bakshi Nagar, Tallab Tillo, Jewel, Trikuta Nagar, Shakti Nagar, Domana, Bhagwati Nagar etc Vivek Parihar ( Director/ C.E.O) said, "We are simply working on a mantra - caring for the underprivileged" and assured that this organisation is standing strong during this global healthcare crisis posed due to Corona Virus. Stuti Sharma (President) also showed concerned that in the current time of deep suffering, people have to support each other. She said “We are focused on ensuring how to reach as many more people as possible to help them in these challenging times". She appealed to all the people to stay at home and follow all the guidelines issued by the society.
