JKTF calls on DSE, discusses demands for redressal

Jammu, June 15: A high level delegation of Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum led by Ganesh Khajuria, chairman alongwith S. Surat Singh Toofani, Rajinder Gupta, Darshan Sharma, Kuldeep Singh Bandral, Kuldeep Verma, Sushil Sharma, Bharat Bushan Sharma and Manpreet Singh Mann visited Director School Education Jammu and met Director Dr. Ravi Shanker Sharma and Personnel Officer Sanjay K Bhat in his Office Chamber and discussed various issues pertaining to the teaching community for its immediate solution. The Chairman thoroughly discussed the genuine issues and demands with the DSEJ.
The core issues and demands projected by the chairman included Filling up of vacant posts of all the DDO'S particularly ZEO'S in all the Districts of Jammu Province, Streamlining of Salaries of Masters working as Head Teachers in the erstwhile SSA upgraded Middle Schools, Vaccination of all the teachers who have been deployed for COVID-19 duties at various platforms to keep them safe from this dreadful pandemic as they put their health at stake for the welfare of the society, Replacement of the Teachers on COVID-19 duties of District Jammu deployed at Lakhanpur to their own Districts, T.A in favour of those Teachers/ Masters who have been stationed at different platforms to perform COVID-19 duties and also for those who have been distributing BOOKS AND MDM dry RICE from door to door as per the orders of the higher authorities. The Chairman also raised the issue of Regularisation of teachers who have been promoted from Lab Assts three years back in their own pay grade(OPG ) which is sheer injustice.
Director School Education Jammu gave a patient hearing to the delegation and quite keenly listened to the issues faced by the employees and assured them that the matter under his domain will be sorted out at an earliest and the pending matters shall be forwarded to the Administrative department for early redressal.
