Jammu, June 19: J&K Mahila Congress celebrated the birthday of Sh. Rahul Gandhi Ji as ‘Sewa Diwas’ by distributing ration and other essential commodities to the people in distress.
Mahila Congress, under the leadership of former MLA, Indu Pawar contributed to the Corona relief work at different places across J&K.
Workers of the Mahila Congress reached out to needy people at different locations to distribute relief materials, especially essential commodities.
Activists of Mahila Congress under the leadership of Pradesh Mahila Congress, president, Mrs. Indu Pawar distributed ration and other materials to the needy people.
“We wish Rahul Gandhi health and happiness on his birthday. In view of the second COVID wave and the incredible difficulties people are facing, Gandhi has chosen not to celebrate his birthday. Instead, he has urged Congress workers to continue their relief work around India, Pawar said, adding, “It is all due to his directions that we are distributing ration to the needy people”.
Pawar said that the ongoing second wave of the Coronavirus has created havoc in the country due to mishandling of the situation by those at the helm of the affairs.
“We have to work round the clock to minimize woes of those who are worst victims of the deadly virus”, she said and added that country is passing through a very crucial time due to the spread of the deadly virus in every nock and corner of the nation.
