Statement of MoS Home regarding J&K should be realized on ground: Chrungoo
7/29/2021 11:00:09 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 29: "The statement of MoS Home, Nityanand Rai regarding grant of statehood to J&K after normalcy is restored should be realized on ground by all elements who desire reversion to the statehood," said Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, senior BJP and KP leader, Incharge, Deptt of Political Affairs and Feedback, J&K-BJP.
Chrungoo was reacting to the statement of the minister in the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday in which the minister said that 'the statehood to J&K will be given once normalcy and peace are restored there'. It is a welcome and appreciable statement which clears any ambiguity and finds a mission for all those who want statehood back. It is for all the primary players in public life, political parties, the intellectuals and the stakeholders in the society to work together for restoration of peace and normalcy in J&K. Elimination of terrorism is incidental to the establishment of normalcy and peace in the JKUT.
The ideological foundations for terrorism and violence have been unfortunately produced by almost all sorts of politicians in the Kashmir valley who continued to hoodwink the opinion of the general public regarding accession, so-called special status, Article 370 and separate identity & existence. In this context, the statements of Mehbooba Mufti are the latest in this series.
"It is ridiculous for a former Chief Minister of the state and the head of a political party to arouse passions of the people in the garb of a fake narrative that the accession with the Union of India was 'conditional' and linked with the Muslim majority character of Jammu and Kashmir", said Chrungoo.
On the one hand asking the youth to leave the gun culture and on the other hand supporting the dreaded terrorists is tantamount to duplicity, double-talk and hypocrisy. PDP has grown in this complexity of dichotomy ab-initio and continues to advance the same theory at its peril. But people have become more conscious of the misdeeds of the past rulers and aren't interested in this rhetoric now.
