GEASSOC urges govt to rescind suspension of Engineers
7/29/2021 11:02:53 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 29: A meeting of central body of GEASSOC was held today at its Jammu HQ to discuss various issues pertaining to Graduate Engineers including the strike call given by Coordination Committee of Power Employees on 30th July as a mark of resentment against suspension of Engineers even when they are working round the clock in tough conditions with meager available resources.
The Central body condemns this one sided action taken by Government as no opportunity has been given to these employees to explain their position. Such decisions are demoralizing for other engineers also. It is pertinent to mention here that engineers are already working under stress due to prevailing adhocism in all the engineering departments and even retiring in Gazetted cadre without confirmation of their services which is a big humiliation for them. As such, suspension of engineers be revoked immediately and if during holding of enquiry someone is found at guilty, he must be punished and the central body of Association will never intervene in the matter in that case.
Association hoped that the government will revoke the suspension of employees and also resolve the long pending demands of Graduate Engineers for which memorandum has already been submitted with concerned administrative secretaries.
Prominent among those who joined this meeting physically or online were Er Gopal Sharma (President), Er Mujib Tak (Chief Patron), Er.Anil Thapa, Er Saleem Bandey, Er Rahat Gupta, Er Neeraj Sharma, Er Braham Jyoti, Er Kulbhushan Bhau, Er Sanjeev Sharma, Er Rajan Mengi, Er Arafat Masud and several others.
