Report of Seventh Online workshop on "NAAC Awareness" for Jammu Division

JAMMU, July 29: The seventh workshop on NAAC awareness was hosted by Govt. Degree College Doda on 26th July under the expertise of Principal Govt Degree College Doda Prof. (Dr.) Shafqat Hussain Rafiqi (Nominated as NAAC expert for group C of seven (7) colleges of Jammu division). Around 65 participants from different colleges of Jammu Division participated. This NAAC awareness Workshop was held under the aegis and patronage of Dr. Shafqat Hussain Rafiqi. The Principals from all the participating colleges, their IQAC coordinators and members joined the workshop. The workshop started at 10:30 am on Cisco Webex Meet with the formal welcome address by Dr. Sumit Kotwal member IQAC GDC Doda. After inaugural the expert and Resource person of the workshop Dr. Rafiqi deliberated on the importance of IQAC Cells and registration of institution on NAAC portal till the visit of NAAC peer team visit. He also elaborated all the seven (7) criteria needed for the submission of the Self Study Report (SSR). He emphasized on the implementation of NAAC for the quality education in the colleges and explained the importance of IQAC cells in colleges, documentation of record and preparation of SSRs and submission of AQARs. His presentation was a key in forming curriculum and start-up related strategies for NAAC accreditation and was helpful in meeting the purpose and objective of the workshop. His enlightening lecture fulfilled all the aspects of the workshop. Later Dr. Ajaz Ahmed Wani Coordinator IQAC GDC Doda shared his valuable experience about the NAAC accreditation process and interacted with the participants. In his supportive talk he emphasized on the timely submission of Institutional Information for Quality Assessment (IIQA) and preparation of SSR. Then the workshop was kept open for interactive session with all the principals of participating colleges, their IQAC coordinators and other participants who interacted with the NAAC expert Dr. Shafqat Hussain Rafiqi. All queries were satisfactorily addressed by the resource person. Further he ensured assistance to non-NAAC accredited colleges to accomplish this milestone. Dr. Ravinder Kumar Tikoo Nodal Principal colleges of Jammu Division particularized the updated version for NAAC accreditation of the colleges. Dr Mohd Aslam Rather IQAC member GDC Doda acted as a technical coordinator and conducted all the proceedings of the workshop. The workshop concluded with the formal vote of thanks by Dr Tasir Sharief Per IQAC member GDC Doda. Later the attendance and feedback link was shared with the participants.
