JAMMU, July 29: Government Degree College, Pouni celebrated World Nature Conservation Day is observed today under the guidance of Principal Prof. Rajni.
On this Occasion, Psychology cell and Career Counselling cell of GDC Pouni organised online Inter-college Poster Making competition on the theme 'Conserve Nature and Save Yourself' in which more than 30 students were enthusiastically participated.
The main objective of organising this competition was to make students familiar regarding importance of environment in all spheres of life The day holds a great significance, especially in our current world, where nature is facing continuous threats, consequences of which are quite easily visible around us.
This whole event was Co-ordinated by Prof. Jaspal Singh , Prof.Balbir kumar , Prof. Tarseem kumar and Prof Varsha Kapoor. About 30 students participated in this event. Arti Jamwal of GDC Pouni, Manju Devi of GDC Reasi & Akriti Verma of GDC Pouni bagged first ,Second and third positions respectively. Certificates were given to all the participants as per their performance. |
