FOB Udhampur organizes webinar on 'Skill India/PMKVY'

UDHAMPUR, July 30: Field Outreach Bureau (FOB), Udhampur, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India today organized a webinar on 'Skill India/PMKVY- A key to the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat' involving the top officials dealing with Skill India Mission of district Udhampur. The webinar completely focused on the vision of 'Skill India Mission' that is to create an empowered workforce by 2022 all over the country with the help of various schemes and training courses.
In his introductory address, Khursheed Yousuf, Field Publicity Officer, Udhampur said that the biggest aim of conducting this webinar is to spread awareness among the masses related to the various initiatives taken by the Government under Skill India Mission, its goals and objectives and to clear the doubts if any by interacting with the experts available during the webinar.
In his Keynote address, Gagan Sharma, Director, PMKVY- Center, Udhampur while briefing on Skill India/ PMKVY said that the main objective of Skill India Mission is to provide adequate training in market relevant skills to over 40 crore youth by the year 2022 & is aimed to create opportunities for the development of talent within the country.
Dr Imran Firdousi Bhat, District Program Manager, Livelihood Farms Jammu Division, JKSRLM, NRLM said that under Skill India Mission, the government has been undertaking proactive steps to converge the entrepreneurship in India towards development of rural women.
Besides officers of the district and students, Field Publicity Officer, Anantnag, Shahid Mohammad, Field Exhibition Officer, Jammu & Ladakh, Syed Adil Shahmeem, Media and Communications Officer, PIB Jammu, Shiekh Mudasir Amin, in charge FOB, Rajouri, Gurnaam Singh, in charge FOB, Kathua, Vijay Matoo, were also present.
