JAMMU, July 30: The Department of Urdu, GDC Sunderbani organized an online Mushaira (poetry) on the Topic: “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahautsav” under the Chairmanship of Dr Vandana Gupta, Principal GDC, Sunderbani. The Mushaira began with the welcome address of Dr Mohd Azam, HoD, Department of Urdu, GDC Sunderbani, who highlighted the rationale of this online Mushaira in connection with celebration of India’s “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahautsav.” A famous poet of Distt Poonch, Ahtesham Mohd Aslam presided over the function. More than 10 poets from different fields of Urdu literature participated in this online poetry recitation. The programme was attended by more than 200 students online along with faculty of GDC Sunderbani and other colleges.
This Programme was anchored by poet Dr Amjad Ali Baber, Dr Mughaid Mughal, Mumtaz Choudhary, Hafiz Reyaz, Mir Imtiyaz Ahmed Zabir and Imtiyaaz Nasim graced participants and audiences with their beautiful poetry verses. Dr Vandana Gupta, Principal GDC, Sunderbani.
