GCW Udhampur organizes online inter-collegiate quiz competition.

JAMMU, July 30: The Heritage Club of Government College for Women (GCW) Udhampur under the Convenorship of Prof Yash Paul (HoD History) organised an online inter-collegiate quiz competition with the theme “India the Land of Vivid Culture and Heritage” on the eve of 75th Independence Day Celebrations to commemorate Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav. Principal of the college Prof Minu Mahajan was the chief guest of this occasion. The programme was inaugurated with the formal welcome address by Prof Yash Paul. In his welcome address he extended warm welcome on behalf of the staff and students of GCW Udhampur to all the participants and audiences.
Principal of the college, Prof Dr Minu Mahajan in her address emphasized that culture and heritage of a nation reflects the values, Beliefs, Traditions, Aspirations and uphold our identitiy as a nation. The quiz competition was organised with the purpose to familiarize the students about the reflection of traditional qualities and values of culture we possess as a society.
The quiz competition was attended by almost 100 students and faculty members across J&K. In total six teams participated in the quiz competition wherein Shaheen Koser and Neena Devi GCW Udhampur, Pranav Singh and Karan Singh GDC Ramnagar and Diksha Thakur and Ashamali Devi GDC Majalta adjudged first, second and third respectively.
The winners were awarded the cash prize of Rs 1000, 700 and 500 respectively.
