REASI, July 30: An impressive” Exhibition cum Craft Mela '' was today organised by SHGs of JKRLM block Reasi, here at Agharjitto. Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Charandeep Singh was the chief guest, while Chief horticulture officer Reasi Brij; DDM NABARD, Vallabh Gupta; District Nodal Officer, Jugal Kishore and BPM Pouni were also present on the occasion.
Members of around 80 SHGs participated and exhibited their handicraft and food products in the day long Exhibition cum Craft Mela. The artifacts displayed at the exhibition included Grass craft items, pickles, embroidery products, paintings, soft toys, Sirah aroma lemon gift sets, lemon oil, Dogra cuisines etc.
The DC appreciated the hard work and talent of artisans and guided them about the importance of packaging, branding, labeling for better marketing of their products. He urged them to Use E market platforms for selling their handmade products.
With changing times, DC said, “one needs to take advantage of branding and Marketing in promoting products.
The DC assured the artisans all possible help in promotion of their crafts.
“Brand building, labeling and market support when given to small entrepreneurs will boost sales and exports thereby strengthening the foundation of the economy,” the DC added. |
