SKUAST-J organizes training programme on “Preparation of Papaya chutney”

JAMMU, July 31: Division of Food Science and Technology of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-J), organized a day long training programme on “Preparation of Papaya chutney” under RKVY project entitled, “Value addition of sub-tropical fruits for women empowerment in Jammu district” at village Gol Gujral, Ponichack Zone, District Jammu. In this training about 40 rural farm women from village Gol Gujral participated.
Dr Neeraj Gupta, at the start of the programme extended warm welcome to the participating officers of line departments, Co-ordinator Umeed Self help group and rural women of Gol Gujral village. Dr Neeraj Gupta, Principal Investigator, RKVY Project started the training programme and gave detailed demonstration for making chutney from papaya fruit. Dr Anju Bhat, Professor and Head, FST delivered the lecture on nutritional significance of papaya fruit. At the end of the programme, Babita Raina, JAEO Gol Gujral expressed the vote of thanks to the participants and the persons involved in the training programme.
