| Adv Monika condemns assault on woman lawyer, demands fair probe | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 21: Condemning the brutal attack on Advocate Surinder Kour a few days back, Advocate Monika Gupta demanded thorough investigation into the incident and the culprits should be put behind bars.
Addressing a press conference here today, Advocate Monika Gupta said that the administration failed to provide security to the people. It is very unfortunate that even after the happening of a number of incidences the govt is not taking the matter seriously. She said that on 17.07.2021 an incidence was happened with her and she lodged an FIR. CCTV footage had also been provided to the police, but till date no action has taken by police, she added.
Within a period of one month one more incidence of attack on women Advocate happened. Is it an alarming situation for J&K (UT), she further said, adding that it is the time when the police and administration should awake from deep sleep. She said that in lawyers community should come together and raise voice against the attack on Advocate especially women. |
