Child Line alongwith Hemophilia Society distributes school bags, nutritious items among 42 children in Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, Aug 25: Child Line Udhampur today organised a programme at Jagriti Old Age Home in which school bags, note books, pens, and nutritious items were distributed among 42 children.
The programme was attended by District Social Welfare Officer, Udhampur, Gourav Gupta, Assistant Labour Commissioner, Udhampur, Pradyot Gupta, Councilor of Ward number 6, Vikram Salathia, Jagriti Old Home's Working President, Udhampur, Jugal Kishore.
The programme started with the welcome address by President, Hemophilia Society Jammu, Rohit Jandyal. Jandyal explained about various works done by the society for the welfare and said that their movement for a healthy society. He said that they are not only working in a healthy society, but fighting for the rights of the children who are forced into labour works in violation of the rules.
Speaking on the occasion, DSWO, Udhampur, Gourav Gupta said that appreciated the work done by the society and extended cooperation for the welfare schemes.
He said that the Social Welfare Department is also working for the welfare of the people and implementing various schemes and said that they were ready to cooperate with the society for the welfare of the society.
He said that Childline should work in cooperation with social welfare.
Similarly, Assistant Labour Commissioner, Udhampur, Pradyot Gupta said that the child labour will not be allowed at any cost in Udhampur and in coming days, they are willing to launch campaign against child labour in collaboration with the Child Line.
Councilor of Ward number 6, who also spoke on the occasion expressed his gratitude and hailed the work being done by the society for the welfare of the society.
He stressed on awareness of various schemes of the government with the help of the society who are working on ground and know the reality so that it could be helpful in implementation of the schemes.
Meanwhile, Jagriti Old Home's Working President, Udhampur, Jugal Kishore presented the vote of thanks and said that the society has made a great contribution to the society with its work.
