Reasi Police nabs 16 absconders including two surrendered terrorists

REASI, Aug 26: Continuing a drive against underground criminals and absconders, Reasi Police steering ahead in its drive against outlaws who are evading arrests since years, in another round of raids and searches, multiple teams of Reasi Police arrested sixteen more absconders evading arrests since years and executed 32 Warrants in last one week.
Kidnapping and Rape Case FIR NO 30/1994 U/S 366, 376, 342, 343, 109 RPC was registered at Police Station Mahore and proved against accused Lal Din S/O Abdul Ghani caste-Sheikh and Abdul Rashid S/O Dulla caste- Sheikh both R/O Thanpal Arnas. To avoid conviction accused jumped trial proceedings and couldn’t be arrested for which Session court Reasi issued General Warrant of arrest US 512 CrPC on 21-08-1999 against them.
After 27 years of commission of crime, on developing specific information both the absconders were arrested while they were visiting Arnas area and produced in the court of law by team of Reasi Police.
Mohd Shafi @ Haroon Rashid S/O Mohd Akbar caste-Gujjar, R/O- Dewal Doga & Bashir Ahmed @Rashad Caste- Sheikh S/O Habib Sheikh R/O Neoch Mahore. Both the accused couldn’t be apprehended since registration of Case FIR against them. Court of JMIC Mahore issued General Warrant of arrest U/S 512 CrPC against the accused on 05-09-2010. Team of Reasi Police developed a specific information and arrested both these absconders from Dewal area. Both the accused remained affiliated with Hizb-ul-Mujahideen outfit of terrorists and later on surrendered before security forces.
Similarly, Reasi Police managed to arrest 12 other absconders wanted in different cases lodged at various Police Stations in Reasi district.
