| GDC Banihal organizes quiz competition | | |

Banihal, Aug 29: Department of Physical Education in collaboration with Department of Mathematics of Government Degree College Banihal organized an online quiz competition and online webinar to celebrate National Sports Day 2021 on the birth anniversary of hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand.
In the quiz Competition more then 35 students participate out of which 14 students scored 100%. The proceeding of the webinar were started by Prof. Sajad Ahmad Sultan HoD Urdu. The Principal of the College Dr. Manohar Lal in his inaugural adress stressed upon the importance of sports in our daily life and advised the students to participate actively in sports.
The programme was carried forward by Prof. Ram Parkash Hod Mathematics. The key note adress in this occassion was presented by Mr. Deepak Kumar (PTI of the College ) He spoke extensively over the topic and also gave the detail explanation of the doubts raised by participants.
The students also delivered their speaches in the the webinar and they were evaluated by Prof. Manzoor Ahmad Bhat HoD English and Prof. Sajad Ahmad Sultan HoD Urdu in which Mr. Danish Rafiq student of BA Semester-II, Miss. Aisha Student of BA Semester-II and Miss. Nasreena Akhter Bali student of BSc Semester-I secured 1st 2nd anf 3rd position respectively.
The faculty members of the college besides students participated in the webinar. In the end programme was concluded by the vote of thanks presented by Prof. Ram Parkash.
