DYSS Jammu hosts inter school zone level tournament

JAMMU, Sept 3: As a part of annual calendar of activities of District Jammu, Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), Zone Jammu today started Interschool Zone level Tournament/ Trials in the discipline of Kho-Kho, volleyball, chess, carom Badminton, Cricket, Tug of War, Football for Boys and Girls under the Age Group of U/19, U/17 and U/14. The opening ceremony of the tournament was held at ZPEO Office Jammu. On the occasion, Uday Bhanu Chib, Director Sacred Heart College of Education, Paloura was the chief Guest, who showers his blessing to the participants. The whole tournament was organized under the overall supervision of worthy DYSSO Jammu Sukhdev Raj Sharma and under the overall guidance of ZPEO Jammu Jasbir Singh Bhau. A total of more than 225 students from both different Government and Private schools of Jammu Zone participated in the aforesaid competitions/ trials. Meanwhile, the cricket trial was held at Mini Stadium Parade Ground Jammu which was inaugurated by social worker Chanchal Singh Chib. Prominent other present on the occasion, Pritipal Singh, Lecturer (PHE), Anita Manhas lecturer (PHE), Anil Sharma lecturer (PHE), Anil Sharma (PEM), Madan Mohan (PET), Satpal Singh (PET), Harjot Kour (PET), Raman Sharma (PET), Harvinder Kour (PEM), Jyoti Sharma (PET), Mayank Jain (PET), Honey Mehra (PET) and Ujjwal Gupta (PET).
