Notorious criminal attacks police team, apprehended by police

KATHUA, Sept 3: District Police Kathua under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua R C Kotwal, JKPS apprehended an infamous history sheeted and notorious criminal who was evading his arrest from last 10 years and having near about half dozen of FIRs of heinous offences in his name in the UT of J&K.
According to reports on reliable information a police team led by Insp. Sunil Sharma SHO P/S Billawar under the supervision of SDPO Billawar Arvind Kumar- JKPS apprehended an infamous history sheeted/notorious criminal. The criminal has been identified as Pawan Singh S/o Nanak Chand R/o Dhannu Parole who was evading his arrest in cases vide FIR No. 60/2012 U/S 392 RPC 4/25 Arms Act and FIR No. 71/2017 U/S 341/323/363/342/376/34/RPC in the JD of PS Billawar.
The said criminal was also involved in case FIR No. 28/2005 U/S 302/RPC and had remained in jail for 5 years whereas he was evading his arrest after the commission of offence in case FIR No. 60/2012 U/S 392/RPC 4/25 Arms Act.
In addition to this, police team of PS Billawar was sent to arrest the said criminal who was unfortunately attacked by this criminal with sharp edge weapons with the help of two more persons namely Joginder Singh and Anil Kumar of Ramkot. For this another case vide FIR No. 39/2021 U/S 353/332/IPC, 4/25/ Arms Act has been registered in the said Police Station whereas his history sheet was also opened in the year 2018 and now his name was entered in Register No.10. Today on 03-09-2021 Police party of PS Billawar set the trap and was able to apprehend above said accused which has been spreading a terror in the whole area of Billawar. Accordingly accused was arrested and further investigation was set into probe.
