JAMMU, Sept 14: Politics for the party activists is a mean to serve the people and its cadre is always seen in the public, undertaking different activities with the sole objective of reaching the last man in the row said Rekha Mahajan Secretary BJP Jammu & Kashmir and Prabhari of the district While addressing meeting of Akhnoor District .
Meeting was convened by Akhnoor District President Jagdish Bhagat to finalise preparations for the forthcoming ' Seva aur Samarpan Campaign' programmes spread over twenty days from September 17 to October 07.
Meeting was also addressed by Ex -MLA Rajeev Sharma, Krishan lal Bhagat ,Former VC Daljit Singh Chib, National Executive Member Kissan Morcha Manmohan Singh, Senior Leader and Incharge Membership drive Jugal Dogra .It was attended by, District team, Mandal Presidents, Morcha District Presidents, General Secretaries, Convenor and Co- Convenors of Cells.
Rekha Mahajan, in her address, further said that Narendra Modi is completing twenty years in active politics, first as Chief Minister and then as Prime Minister. The party has decided to organize series of programmes like holding exhibitions, setting up of health check up camps at district level, distribution of fruits in slums, orphanages, hospitals and old aged homes, blood donation camps , plantation drives, provide artificial limbs and other equipment's to differently abled persons, mobilising over five crore post cards during twenty days wishing PM on his birthday and thanking him for his welfare initiatives for the poor, distribution of free ration bags at every booth under Pradhan Mantri Gareeb Kalyan Anna Yojana, drive to remove plastic, visit of vaccination centres by elected representatives and office bearers while adhering to the COVID 19 guidelines. She expressed hope that the involvement of party activists would help successful conduct of each of the mentioned programme.
Jagdish Bhagat said that the district and mandal teams would work whole heartedly to ensure that the most deserving people are covered under programmes related to distribution of ration items and those over 18 years get vaccinated.
Ex MLAs Rajiv Sharma and Krishan Lal Bhagat said that during the twenty days campaign, the party activists will also get opportunity to be more closer to the people in rural population of Akhnoor district and educate them about pro-people policies and programmes of BJP government under PM Narendra Modi.
Former VC, Daljit Singh Chib, spoke on BJP's concern for the development of rural areas and welfare of the weaker sections.
Kissan Morcha, National Executive Member, Manmohan Singh, stressed on the need to make farmers aware about various initiatives taken by Narendra Modi government for their economic upliftment.
Senior leader Jugal Dogra said that it is not only BJP but the entire population of the country needs the services of Narendra Modi as Prime Minister and his birthday on September 17 should be celebrated amid prayers for his good health and long political journey.
Proceedings of the programme was conducted by Mandal President Balinder Singh.
