NYC employees hold protest, demand regularization of services

JAMMU, Sept 14: NYC Employees’ Association today held a meeting here at Green Belt Park Jammu and raised the concerns of NYC employees working in different government departments who had time and again represented before Jammu and Kashmir administration for an applicable pattern of regularization rather CSLW pattern as applicable under some similar engagements (viz REK, REJ, REZ, etc) and enhancement of salary from existing Rs 2500 per month, in the best interest of justice.
Asif Ali Bhat, president NYC Employees’ Association reminded that we called on former Lieutenant Governor GC Murmu on 13 February 2020 where we courteously laid down our grievances for redressal. The then LG assured us that we are going to sought vacant vacancies and will firstly regularize you there in the departments where you are deployed as per your qualification and then the left out vacancies shall forwarded to recruitment agencies. He assured us about timely completion of process to end the sufferings of NYCs.
Bhat stressed that government of Jammu and Kashmir is well aware about the fact that the NYC, REK, REZ and REJ employees are not getting the legally justified wages.
NYC employee’s association appeals the government if these categories brought in the ambit of a justifiable service provisions in the form of a SRO to cover these employees of all the departments, that will provide a relief to these employees category from their concern in the best interest of justice.
The meeting was attended by Baqir, Sunil, Surinder and Anu among others.
