Further, he said a number of ASHA workers have so far been martyred in this fight saving thousands of lives but it is shameful for the nation that in spite of selfless dedicated work all these years and the extraordinary services provided by the ASHA workers during the pandemic, risking their own life and the lives of their family, the Government of India is not ready to recognize their work and regularize them as permanent employees, minimum wages and social security and pension as per the recommendations of the 45th and 46th Indian Labour Conferences.
