Sainik School Nagrota celebrates Hindi Diwas

JAMMU, Sept 14: As an annual feature, Sainik School Nagrota celebrated Hindi Diwas today by organizing various programmes for the cadets as well as the staff. Cadet Amrit Raj of Class X presented a speech in the special online morning assembly on the significance of celebrating Hindi Diwas. Later in the afternoon an online Inter House Hindi Poetry Recitation Competition was organized at the School Auditorium in which cadets belonging to Chenab, Sindh, Jhelum and Trikuta Houses participated. Themes for the competition included ‘Patriotic Spirit’, ‘Freedom Struggle of India’ and ‘Progressive India’. Cadets participated online in this competition and brought out some of the finest creative expressions in the form of Hindi Poetry and received applause from the officers and staff of the school. Cadet Adarsh Choudhary of Jhelum House stood first while Cadets Sarthak Shukla and Aryan Kumar stood second. Cadet Sanshrav Rana finished third in this competition. Further, taking their turn, the staff with a penchant for literary Hindi, entertained the audience with their poetic brilliance. Commending the performance of cadets and staff, Principal Capt (IN) AK Desai addressed the gathering and urged everyone to accord priority in developing hindi language skills and foster its usage in all spheres of their life.
