J&K team selected for National Wrestling Championship

JAMMU, Sept 14: 19 wrestlers were selected to represent J&K UT Wrestling team in 3rd Under-23 Senior Free Style, Greco Roman Style and Women National Wrestling Championship-2021 which is scheduled to be held at Amethi Uttar Pradesh from 16th to 19th of September 2021. The team was selected after the Screening Committee of J&K Sports Council, conducted screening of team at MA Stadium, under the overall supervision of Ashok Singh, Divisional Sports Officer (J) in the presence of Satish Gupta Manager J&K Sports Council, Jai Bharat, Om Parkash Senior Wrestling Coach, Sahil Sharma and Gautam. SSP Dushyant Sharma, who is a former International Wrestler of India, gave his best wishes to all team members and stated that Lieutenant Governor J&K UT, promoting and introducing new schemes in Sports even in far flung areas of J&K UT. That day is not so far when J&K Players will bring laurels after winning medals in National and International Level Championships. The team included Ajit Malhotra, Saleem, Keshav Singh, Munir Hussain, Ashok Singh, Gulshan Chib, Ranjeet Singh, Abhishek Manhas, Aman Kumar, Deepak Kumar, Vijay Kumar, Mohd Hussain, Sumit Gangla, Mohd Gulam Sawar, Ibrad Hussain, Gourav, Jacoob, Vireshwar Bhardwaj and Kanav Sharma while Krishan Singh will accompany the team as Coach.
