GDC Kalakote organizes Essay writing competition to celebrate Hindi Divas

JAMMU, Sept 14: Department of Hindi in collaboration with NSS unit of GDC Kalakote, with the support and guidance of Dr. Romesh Kumar Gupta, Principal, GDC Kalakote celebrated Hindi Divas and organized an online Essay writing on the topic “WHAT PRECAUTIONS SHOULD BE ADOPTED TO AVOID COVID-19 INFECTIONS AFTER REOPENING THE COLLEGES”.
Dr. Gupta, Principal of the college, focused on the theme of the event and emphasized that doing our bit and sharing responsibility will surely make us win this fight against this deadly virus and we can simply do it by following certain rules i.e., avoiding public gatherings and unnecessary travels, maintain social distancing, washing hands frequently, wearing facemask, maintaining respiratory hygiene, do not shake hands and no hugs, do not touch mouth, nose and eye, avoid touching office surfaces, avoid crowed spaces, if ill, stay at home. The main idea behind the event was to aware the students of various precautions and safety measures to be taken to beat Covid-19 infections. Many students took part in the event. The essays were judged on the basis of the command on language and the originality of the ideas. Anshu Kumari Sem. 6th, Manu Sharma Sem. 1st and Pratibha Gupta of sem.2nd clinched the 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions respectively. Prof. Priyanka Kumari, H.O.D. Hindi and Programme Coordinator of NSS unit of GDC Kalakote organized the whole event.
