Appeals people not to lower guard, take vaccine

KISHTWAR, Sept 21: The Weekly Covid positive rate dips in Kishtwar district had dipped to 0. 2% with strict enforcement of Covid safety guidelines and sustained vaccination drive.
The information was shared by Deputy Commissioner Ashok Sharma at the weekly press briefing on the current Covid Care Scenario and enforcement measures put in place in the district.
He informed that during 2nd surge district reported a total of 2056 Covid positive cases, of which 2009 patients have recovered so far by availing the government aided medical treatment.
He further informed that at present there are only 11 active Covid patients in the home isolation who are being provided treatment by the Health Department, while no COVID positive patient is presently admitted in the district hospital.
As per the latest report, 9 Covid positive patients were reported this week which shows a steep decline in the positivity rate (below 0.2%) which has become possible due to the strict implementation of covid protocol” he added.
He further informed that the door to door Vaccination drive is underway in the district and appealed to the age appropriate persons including employees, students, drivers, shopkeepers and others to take first the dose to stay safe.
Listing the enforcement measures taken by District administration, he said that strict action is being taken against persons found violating the SOPs in public places.
He appealed to the masses to adhere to the COVID appropriate behaviour (CAB) in letter and spirit by following social distancing and wearing face mask.
