PHSC chairman of JMC takes stock of people’s problems in Trikuta Nagar area

JAMMU, Sept 21: Chairman Public Health Sanitation Committee (PHSC) of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Narinder Singh Jamwal conducted a tour at Trikuta Nagar (Bharat Mata Mandir) and its adjoining areas falling in ward 52 to take stock of grievances of the people of the area especially the grievances pertaining to sanitation concerns.
During the tour Jamwal was accompanied by the Health Officer of Jammu Municipal Corporation Dr. Sanjogita Soodan and local Corporator Ajay Gupta besides the officers of Health and Transport wing of JMC including CTO Harvinder Singh and Sanitary Officers Rajinder and Harjeet Singh.
The Chairman interacted with the residents who conveyed their issues and problems pertaining to sanitation to him. They said that in view if the intermittent rains and coming rainy season there is a dire need for maintaining optimum sanitation level in all areas especially to stop mosquito and other insects breeding. The said that there are various spots that crave attention in the area as due to improper garbage disposal the heaps of garbage have become healthy breeding grounds for mosquitoes.
Jamwal urged the people to become proactive partner in official endeavours of the government and its institutions like the JMC. He said that people are also required to ensure that garbage coming out of their houses is dumped into the bins provided by the JMC at designated spots from where it is picked up by the trucks of the Corporation.
