9/21/2021 9:59:05 PM

EArly Times Report

Srinagar, Sept 21: Apni Party (AP) President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Tuesday said it is heartening to see women folk scaling new heights in the social, political and financial frameworks in Jammu and Kashmir.
He said AP believes that women possess an immense potential to give a new direction to society and the only requirement is that they are provided with an equal opportunity to prove themselves in all the fields of private and public life.
Bukhari was speaking on the sidelines of Party’s women convention at Party’s Central Office at Sonwar where a women specific initiative ‘SAHULIYAT’ was launched by the Party.
He said that the women have rendered immense sacrifice in retaining the cohesion and social fabric across Jammu and Kashmir and have always carved a niche in all their capacities.
He said that AP wants socio-economic and political empowerment of the women whose emancipation lays the foundation of any civilized society in the world.
The gathering was convened by Apni Party Social Media Convener Sujada Bashir, Social Media and Communication Convener Sheema Farooqi and In-charge Public Grievance and Social Media Convener Syed Fazal Kashani.
Addressing the gathering, Apni Party Social Media conveners enumerated the benefits of getting in touch with SAHULIYAT initiative where all the grievances related with women will be redressed. “As our Party President Bukhari Saheb announced that any grievance related to women folk will be addressed in a three-days time period, under this comprehensive initiative AP will also provide free legal aid to the distressed women who might be facing domestic violence,” Kashani informed.
He said AP has taken this initiative where women can easily connect with the Party's team and an appropriate assistance with regards to their respective issues will be provided in a time-bound manner.
The women participants present on the occasion lauded the efforts of party leadership in relation to the resolution of women grievances and also vowed to strengthen the party cadres via connecting more women to this much needed initiative.
