DC honors COVID warriors of District Kathua

KATHUA, Sept 21: An award ceremony to honor the COVID Warriors of District Kathua was organized by DC Kathua in collaboration with CHILDLINE INDIA FOUNDATION & CHILDLINE Kathua 1098- (Run by Jay Kay Women Welfare Society), supported by Ministry of Women & Child Development, GOI, New Delhi.
The program was organized at Conference Hall, D C Complex Kathua.
Rahul Yadav (IAS) graced the occasion as Chief Guest whereas; Anjali Nadir Bhatt, Principal GMC Kathua, R C Kotwal (JKPS) SSP Kathua, Ritu Mahajan (KAS) District Programme Officer, ICDS Kathua, Abdul Raheem (KAS), and Manjari Singh State Programme Manager Childline India Foundation, Ministry of Women & Child and Development, J&K were the Guest of Honors.
DC Rahul Yadav presented the appreciation cum awards to all Covid warriors especially to CIF and CL Kathua for special contribution during Covid 19 and restoration of 83 children in district Kathua and special effort provided to restore the mental health of CCIs children and suggested to face the third wave of COVID with more strength and responsibilities.
The members honoured on the occasion include Anjali Nadir Bhatt, Ritu Mahajan (KAS), Manjari Singh, Brijnesh Kumari Asst Labour Commissioner, Kathua, Sanjeevan Jyoti, SHO Women Cell Kathua, District Information Officer Raman Sharma, Labour Inspector Kathua Harpreet Singh, D M SBI Life Insurance Kathua Surbhi Abrol, Meghna Sharma, Navnidhi Vashisht, Rahul Hans Sarpanch, Pardeep Singh District Coordinator Childline Kathua and Team, Sandeep Majotra, Sunny Kumar, Raj Kumar, and Sanjeev Kumar.
In her speech Manjari Singh briefed the overall objective and their work done in the COVID pandemic where CHILDLINE Kathua distributed all needy things, food medicines, PPE Kits, sanitary Kits and other items with the help of the volunteer groups, stakeholders, police health services, ICPS units, United Kathua in the different areas of district.
Rahul Yadav, (IAS) DC Kathua in his address appreciated the work-done of CHILDLINE India Foundation & Childline Kathua. He also suggested CHILDLINE India Foundation to cover all vulnerable pockets of the far flung areas to the District Kathua and to prepare the action plan with State Programme Coordinator, CHILDLINE India Foundation.
During the award ceremony, T R Sharma, Director Childline Kathua and Pardeep Singh, District Coordinator, Childline Kathua Team were also present.
