LJP announces support to Jammu bandh call

JAMMU, Sept 21: Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) on Tuesday today announced its support to the Jammu bandh for tomorrow given by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Jammu against anti-trade and commerce moves of the administration. In a press conference organized here today, LJP J&K President Rafiq Malik said that LJP is with people of J&K for safeguarding the interests of Jammu and Kashmir and will continue so with a sense of commitment", he said while extending full solidarity with the trade, commerce and industry. Malik while extending full support to small and medium shopkeepers criticized the local and national leadership of BJP and the Union Government for initiating all such economic activities which break the back bone of Jammu. He said party will protest against the Government decision to open 100 Reliance stores to break back bone of poor business class of Dogras. He criticized the anti- raders, anti-farmers, anti-poor, and anti-workers laws of J&K Government. Malik further said that Jammu business community which has suffered a lot in last three years will be hit a lot by brining 100 Reliance outlets in Jammu. He urged the Government not to go ahead with its decision as it would hit the small traders very hard.
Prominent among those who attend the press conference include Varun Bali LJP J&K UT Sr Vice President, RP Singh LJP J&K UT Gen Secy, Mulkh Raj LJP J&K UT President Labour Cell, Tilak Raj Gen Secy Labour Cell, Mohd Rafi Shah LJP J&K UT President Minority Cell, Ajab Singh LJP Rural District President Labour Cell Nirmal LJP Gen Secy Minority Cell Jammu Province.
